About Us
Our Story
We began as a group of four high school friends, each with a love of languages and a passion to give back to the community. When quarantine took over our lives, we came up with an idea to offer language classes so anyone could experience the joy of language. And Virtually Verbal was born.
Initially, Virtually Verbal was a small group of three tutors offering three languages. Today, there are 12 tutors on our team and over 200 language students. We now offer classes in five languages and in varying levels (and more coming!), and we are continuing to come up with new ideas to make Virtually Verbal even better.
How We Operate
After the student signs up for a class though our booking link, tutors will reach out to the student through email and confirm the class timing. Tutoring sessions will take place in Zoom, a platform for video collaboration. Frequency and duration of tutoring sessions will depend on the agreement of tutors and students, but we generally recommend once a week sessions that are an hour long.
